Matt Cutts

The name Matt Cutts may not mean much to most people, but to many people working in Search Engine Optimisation, the man is like a walking, talking, blogging demigod.
Cutts is a developer at Google and was responsible for, among other things, Google Safesearch. Nowadays, he is one of the more prolific bloggers on the internet and author of (arguably) the most important SEO blog out there: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/. He now works in Google’s Webspam team… kind of like the nemesis of Black Hat SEO companies everywhere.
People in the industry look to Cutts for “the official line” on a number of SEO topics. Despite his best efforts, these usually boil down to a couple of hot potatoes: spam, white hat linkbuilding and paid links.
For anyone interested, there is a great interview with Cutts here: http://www.stonetemple.com/articles/interview-matt-cutts-061608.shtml
Righteo… back to work now.
